Biography

November 2017, Reverend Louis B Williams, Jr answered the Lord’s call to plant a church. Over the next eight months, he worked to establish it. On July 3, 2018, Reverend Williams, preached his first sermon at the newly formed Christ First Community Church. Built on the principles of Teaching God’s Word, Living by Faith and Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to All. Christ First Community Church is committed to lifting up the Name of Jesus Christ! In spite of the Covid-19 pandemic, God has allowed Christ First Community Church to grow in spirit and members.
Reverend Williams has a heart for serving people and has served in Ministry for over 30 years. During his 20-year tenue at Evangel Missionary Baptist Church (EMBC), Reverend Williams served as a deacon for 5 years, one of the associate ministers for 14 years, chaired the church’s media ministry and assisted with the monthly SHARE program. Reverend Williams has also served as a volunteer Lay Chaplain at Doctors Community Hospital.
Reverend Williams was born in Washington, D.C and relocated to Maryland early in his childhood. Reverend Williams is married to Sharon Y. Williams, his beautiful bride of 35 years. Together, they have three adult sons, Brandon, Cameron, and Louis, one daughter-in-law Christina and one granddaughter, Harmonii.
In 2012, Reverend Williams received his bachelor’s in Biblical Studies from Washington Bible College in Lanham Maryland and was ordained on September 21, 2013. Pastor Williams continues to grow in the Lord. Now more than ever, he knows the scriptures that will continue to govern his life. His consistent prayer is to remain obedient to God’s Will.
