This Sunday, we pause to honor the fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, stepfathers, spiritual fathers, and father figures whose love, wisdom, and faith have shaped who we are. The dads who showed up. The men who stood in the gap. The fathers who prayed when no one was watching.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6

A godly father is one of God’s greatest gifts. To every dad reading this — the ones whose hands are full, the ones whose hearts ache for a child gone too soon, the new fathers learning as they go, and the seasoned fathers still showing up — you are seen, you are valued, and your labor of love is not in vain.

Take a moment today. Call him. Hug him. Thank him. Pray for him. Tell him what his presence has meant to you. And if he’s no longer here, thank God for the legacy he left behind. If your earthly father wasn’t all he should have been, remember this — you have a Heavenly Father who will never leave you nor forsake you.
